Located near Mount Vesuvius and the ancient Pompeii ruins, the EAPCCT look forward to welcoming you to the hustle and bustle of in southern Italy for the 39th International Congress of the EAPCCT from 21 to 24 May 2019. Naples  the regional capital of Campania and located on the Gulf of Naples, on the western cost of Southern Italy. The islands of Capri and Ischia are both located in the Gulf of Naples, Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast are situated south of the city, while the Roman ruins of Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius are only 40 minutes away. The old town of Naples was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1995. Discover exquisite palaces, find unexpected treasures and enjoy breath-taking views. Naples is the result of a unique mixture of culture, art and gastronomy.

The 39th EAPCCT Congress will take place in the Stazione Marittima, originally built in 1936 in response to the high demand for sea transportation at that time. Today it welcomes cruise ships and passengers, offering modern and convenient facilities for boarding and disembarking. A new shopping mall and convention center have been opened overlooking Piazza Municipio close to the city centre. 

The academic aspects of the EAPCCT Congress are being organised by the EAPCCT Board and Scientific and Meetings Committee who are preparing the following themes which will be complemented by oral, short oral and poster presentations from submitted abstracts.

We very much encourage you to submit your work and original data as abstracts for the Naples Congress: we wish to include as many of your abstract submissions as we can for oral, short oral and poster presentation in the scientific programme of the Congress.

Abstract submission opens: 10 September 2018
Abstract submission closes: 8 October 2018
Notification of abstract acceptance: by end January 2019
There will be plenty of opportunity for you to network with colleagues from around the world at the breaks and lunches, and also at the regular social events such as the Wednesday welcome reception to be held at Castel Nuovo (Maschio Angioino), a medieval castle and one of the main architectural landmarks of the city. The Friday congress dinner will take place at the Santa Chiara monastery, an oasis of calm and beauty amidst the hustle and bustle that is Naples.

The congress will once again be organised by Grupo Pacifico, the experienced Professional Congress Organiser many of you will have met before.
